privacy policy

last updated — 26 august 2026

the short version

your photos and videos never leave your phone. we don't know who you are. the app does send anonymous usage numbers — which filters get used, whether a save worked — so we know what to build next. that's the whole thing.

what stays on your phone

what the app sends

anonymous usage events, through google analytics for firebase. each one is a small note like “someone used this filter for 12 seconds” — no picture, no sound, no text attached.

it comes down to three things: which filters get used and for how long, whether the app worked — saves, purchases, permissions, when the phone gets hot — and the usual technical background: device model, os version, app version, language, and the country your network is in.

each install gets a random number so two visits from the same phone count as one person. it isn't tied to your name, your apple account, or any other app. delete the app and it's gone.

what we don't do

who else sees it

google, as our analytics provider. the events go to google servers in the united states and we read them back as counts. google processes them on our behalf under their data processing terms — see firebase privacy and google's privacy policy.

purchases go through apple. we never see your card, and apple only tells us that a sale happened.

nobody else. no ad networks, no data brokers, no analytics we haven't named here.

how long we keep it

event records for 14 months, then google deletes them. the random install number for 14 months after your last use. we keep the counts we've already read — "this filter was used a lot in march" — because they're just numbers by then.

how to stop it

delete the app. the random number goes with it and nothing more is sent. if you'd like us to remove what's already there, email us with roughly when you used the app and we'll do what we can — though anonymous data is hard to point at, which is the point of it being anonymous.

you can also turn off share iphone analytics in ios settings, but that's apple's channel, not ours.

children

f33dbag isn't made for children under 14, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.

this website

no tracking cookies. the fonts come from google fonts, which sees your ip the way any web request does. if you email us, we use your message to reply and nothing else.

changes

if this changes we'll change the date at the top. no surprises later.
